Description

We are seeking a diligent Public Senior Accountant to join our team in the professional services industry. This role offers an exciting contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records in compliance with the U.S. GAAP, managing accounts, and running payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Develop and update workpapers for monthly close in accordance with U.S. GAAP

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient banking processes

• Oversee the payroll process, manage related HR compliance filings, unemployment insurance, and 401K contribution management

• Record journal entries in ERP associated with the above responsibilities

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites for effective task execution

• Conduct auditing and bookkeeping functions as required

• Prepare financial statements and manage the month-end close process

• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and execute monthly bank reconciliation

• Manage full cycle payroll and prepare, post, and verify journal entries.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Bookkeeping Functions

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Full Cycle Payroll management

• Ability to record Journal Entries and Month-end Journal Entries

• Skills to Post and Prepare Journal Entries

• CPA or CPA Designation is required
