Spurwink's ShifaME program seeks a highly collaborative, creative, and flexible clinician to join our ShifaME program in this school-based position. This is a program that serves immigrants, refugees and asylee children and families impacted by traumatic stress. This is a team-based model in which clinicians and cultural brokers work together in mental health service delivery. We are seeking a clinician who will ideally provide services to a diverse caseload and enjoys a combination of school-based work with some home-based family work. Training in Trauma Systems Therapy for Refugees (TST-R) provided. This position is a full-time position in the South Portland Elementary Schools.

Salaried positions have a billable weekly expectation of 22 hours per week.
DUTIES:
The ShifaME clinician will provide counseling services to elementary aged children in the South Portland School District including those who are immigrant, refugee or seeking asylum. The clinician partners with ShifaMe Cultural Brokers/Care Coordinators to deliver mental health services utilizing the evidence-based model Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for refugees (TST-r). Clinician co-facilitate SHIFA Groups in their school. Clinicians receive individual and group supervision as well as training and consultation in TST-r.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clinicians must be licensed in the state of Maine or eligible for licensure as an LMSW-cc, LCSW, LCPC-c, or LCPC.
