Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join its Outreach Communications department. The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive content creation and communications support for the development and implementation of moderately complex outreach and communication materials.

Responsibilities

Consulting with business leaders to identify and prioritize outreach-related business objectives

Collaborating with technical and operational teams to create and repurpose compelling content

Researching, writing, editing and reviewing existing content for traditional (media outreach, press releases, etc.) and digital (websites, ads, social media) communications

Collaborating with a diverse group of outreach and communications professionals in their efforts to effectively engage a technologically sophisticated audience

Qualifications

Ability to multitask and stay organized

Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative

Ability to work with a team and also individually

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Open-mindedness, the ability to learn quickly, adaptability and creativity

Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with Mathematica, Wolfram Language and/or Wolfram|Alpha

Bachelor's degree in communication, creative writing or a quantitative field

Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote
