POSITION SUMMARY: The Public Engagement Program Manager supports and manages Public Engagement initiatives and is responsible for providing analysis, supporting development, and facilitating Brain Health Initiative (BHI) programs. This position collaborates with volunteer physicians, external initiative stakeholders, and staff to assist in implementing strategies and initiatives approved by the Committee on Public Engagement. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Project Management Supports the development of business plans for new projects and oversees project management duties for implementation of approved plans, managing select programs' execution Maintains the Brain Health Initiative's internal roadmap under the supervision of the Senior Manager Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure project execution Manages multiple projects simultaneously, including the delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget, Recommends new ideas and solutions for the Brain Health Initiative and Programs Accountable for project portfolio documentation, modifying project plan, coordinating changes with project team, and track project statuses to ensure progress toward completion Responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement of systems and processes and work cooperatively toward solutions of the identified areas needing improvement Manages routine reporting by drafting memos and reports Committee Support Coordinates and manages logistics of committee meetings and other events as needed Facilitates committee workgroups, including the creation of memoranda, professional agendas, minutes, meeting logistics, and planning Participates in the development of new committee programs and initiatives, recommending and assisting in implementing future initiatives, and serving as a resource to committee members during program development Event Management Collaborates with Senior Manager and internal stakeholders to ensure Brain Health events are designed to meet the organization's objectives and provide an excellent participant experience Responsible for tracking event budgets and expenses Plans and manages elements of all Brain Health Initiative events including guest registration, AV, food and beverage, and event logistics Manages relationships with event vendors This job description may not cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelors degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management or similar field is required Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in project management or program management including initiating, planning executing, monitoring and closing projects is required. Experience working in the health care industry or membership association is preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Ability to facilitate multiple projects simultaneously is required Strong organizational, attention to detail, customer service, written and grammatical, and problem-solving skills are required Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required Experience with SharePoint and working with marketin communication functions is preferred ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION: FLSA Classification: Exempt Travel Requirements: Some travel required - approximately 10% Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week) Schedule: Occasional evenings and weekends required Physical Requirements: Standard office setting, with ability to sit for long periods of time, occasional use of stairs; regular use of computer and office equipment, lifting up to 10 lbs.
