Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed full-service community hospital located in the rapidly growing southeastern section of Lexington Kentucky. We provide care for patients in Fayette and surrounding counties. At Saint Joseph East ambulatory surgery 24-hour emergency care and women’s health services are supported through a vast array of inpatient and outpatient program. Additional specialty services include Heart Care Breast Care Sleep Care and Weight Loss Surgery. Responsibilities
Job Summary
The licensed psychologist performs a full range of psychological services under the supervision of a licensed phD psychologist. Psychological services may include: individual, group and family psychotherapy, behavior management modification, assessments and testing and consultation to the referring physician and treatment team. The psychologist will be an integral part of the Behavioral Health Psychology Clinic.
Purpose - To evaluate and study behavior and mental processes to assist other members of the medical staff team in determining patient needs for enhanced activities of daily living.

Collect information through observations, interviews surveys, and other methods
Research and identify behavioral or emotional patterns

Psychologists often gather information and evaluate behavior through controlled laboratory experiments, psychoanalysis, or psychotherapy. They also may administer personality, performance aptitude, or intelligence tests. They look for relationships or patterns of behavior between events, and use this information when testing theories in their research or treating patients.
Qualifications
Must hold a master level degree in mental health related field or clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Must be licensed as Psychological Associate in the state of Kentucky.
Pay Range
$33.52 - $48.60 /hour
