Experience with NX Team Center ispreferrKeywords/Disqualifiers: No NX experience is an automatic disqualifier.JOB DESCRIPTION* The right candidate will develop solutions to complexengineering/scientific problems that require the regular use of ingenuityand creativity and modification of standard techniques and analytical methods.Viewed as an expert in the field within the organization. Possibly an emergingauthority in the company. Guides the successful completion of major programsand projects; may function in a project leadership role. May be a CRE forcomplex components. Poor decisions or recommendations would typically resultin failure to achieve major organizational/program objectives. Work isperformed independently. Exercises considerable latitude in determining thetechnical objective of the assignment. Completed work is reviewed from arelatively long-term perspective for desired results. Provides mentorship toothers to further their discipline or the company.
JOB SUMMARYThis engineering function provides engineering design, systemsintegration, subcontract management, product technical support and anomalyresolution for the Propulsion fluids systems (cryogenic, non-cryogenic,hydraulics and pneumatics).* Support development of propulsion sub-system and component designs* Ensure all designs satisfy overall launch vehicle and sub-systemrequirements* Background and experience with mechanical and fluid system designs* Ability to support system integration and system level trade studies tooptimize designs for manufacturing, produce-ability and performance* NX modeling experience
JOB DUTIES* Develops system and component designs and requirements to satisfy overallpropulsion systems requirements. The position requires mechanical designcapability as well as understanding dynamic, structural and fluids analysisconcepts.* Must have the capability to perform system integration and perform systemlevel trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturing, Productivity andperformance. Generates engineering drawings as well as assembly and testingrequirements.* Provides direct support to the suppliers, the factory and the launch siteto ensure production schedules are met, resolve anomalies and streamlineoperations to improve efficiency.* When anomalies occur, provides causal analysis that leads to effectiveresolution and corrective actions that prevent recurrence.* Reviews the as-built product (hardware and associated software) andproduct test data to certify that the final product configuration andperformance meets requirements and is ready for test and/or flight.* Develops design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improvevehicle performance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE* Candidate must have a minimum of 5-9 years in propulsion engineering.
REQUIRED EDUCATION* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
