Core Responsibilities:
Support the execution of business development initiatives, programs, events, activities and strategies for the Department and its Practice Groups.
Support RFP and pitch response strategy and creation of materials, including drafting targeted materials for tailored responses. Monitor and maintain proposal tracking database.
Conduct research and competitive analysis inclusive of lateral activity, client insights, thought leadership, events, news/experience, and league tables, and work with the managers to prepare presentations re: the firm’s competitive positioning in the market.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness with managing firm’s external website (practice group pages, attorney bios), managing firm collateral material (firm overview pages, practice group overview pages, etc.), and identifying new collateral to be developed.
Coordinate and support the execution of internal and client-facing events, with support from the firm-wide events team (includes supporting the development of event proposals and budgets, logistics, targeted list development, invitations and client communications, etc.).
Coordinate e-communications including eAlerts, monthly department emails, new attorney welcome emails and more.
Attend all Marketing Department meetings, trainings and retreats.
Learn all Marketing Department and firm tools and technology required to be proficient at completing on-level assignments.
Assist with firm sponsorships, including attendee registration, collateral, booths, etc.
Develop strong working relationships with practice attorneys and other members of the Marketing team.
Supervise external survey, directory, award, and ranking submissions by drafting narrative descriptions and nominations, as well as collecting matter descriptions, client permissions and references from lawyers.
Monitor, track, and collaborate with attorneys on the practices’ knowledge/experience management efforts, using the firm’s Foundation database.
Monitor the use and updating of client contacts/client team activity information within the InterAction software system.
Assist with the marketing budget, including processing invoices, reconciling expenses, etc.
Collaborate with the firm’s PR team to advance profile-raising efforts within the market.
Prepare weekly project status updates are required, as well as key information updates more frequently as necessary/requested.
Drafting, editing, and proofreading materials, recommending changes, and supervising marketing operations personnel to execute projects in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism or Communication Studies
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related role required
