Proposal Writer

　　Position Summary

　　The Proposal Writer works closely with technical SME's (tech services, PD, AR&D and Operations), Commercial Operations, Business Development (Sales), Project Management and Operations and owns the process for the scoping, pricing, generation and review of Quotations for new and continuing business and delivery of these to the client.

　　The Role

　　Responsible for generation of proposals based on Client RFP's or other quotation requests.

　　Facilitates communication between functional areas of the organization (ie. Sales, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Finance, etc) to ensure on-time delivery of Quotations / proposals that are accurate and executable in terms of technical scope and meet costing / business margin targets.

　　Works with Operational departments to ensure specific technical input as required for work being quoted.

　　Manage and document metrics of assigned quotes to ensure delivery within the expected timeframes.

　　Implements established pricing guidelines and when required, works with Sales, Operations, and Finance to produce optimal value pricing solutions.

　　Maintains quotation content and pricing templates, as well as dedicated customer pricing, as appropriate.

　　Collaborate with all sites within the business unit to maximize existing experience, knowledge, and resources.

　　Assist other team members when needed to ensure the overall group’s goals and deliverables are met

　　Contribute to the New Product Introduction System (i.e. Gate 0 / Gate 1) for assigned quotations.

　　Assumes other duties as required.

　　The Candidate

　　Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience

　　2 years of experience in the scientific/pharmaceutical industry. Previous pharmaceutical development experience is preferred.
