Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Proposal Analyst (Level 1 or 2) to join our qualified and diverse Business Management team. This position will be based in Melbourne, FL and due to the nature of the program supported will be primarily on-site.
The primary objective of this role will be to develop, plan and schedule proposals as part of a team in support of a program area. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
This role may be filled at either the Associate (Level 1) or Analyst (Level 2) levels as outlined below based on candidate experience and education requirements.
Basic Qualifications Associate Proposal Analyst (Level 1)Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Be majoring in or having majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related degree.Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security Secret level clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) prior to the commencement of employment.Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).Basic Qualifications Proposal Analyst (Level 2)3+ years of relevant business management experience with Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Operations from an accredited university - OR - Master's Degree with 1+ year of work experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security Secret level clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) prior to the commencement of employment.Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).Preferred Qualifications (Level 1 and Level 2)Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higherPrevious internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).Knowledge of the government regulations FAR and DFARS; especially TINA/TCOPDExperience in professional communications with USG officials in programs, DCAA and DCMAWorking knowledge of CAS, Disclosure Statements, Estimating Systems, Audit and FPRP rate developmentExperienced with USG RFP/BAA/IFB/RFQsExperience working within complex, high volume, high value proposals of varying contract types [FFP, FPIF, CPAF, CPIF, etc.]Active Program Clearance.Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE) and analyzing BOE quality.Experience with Excel Pivot Tables, VBA coding and Macros.Experience with parametric modeling (such as SEER-SIM, PRICE True Planning, etc.).Proficient in using Pro-Pricer.Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.Salary Range: $51,400 - $77,200
Salary Range 2: $62,200 - $93,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
