Job Title: Contract Property Accountant (Yardi)

Role Summary: We are seeking a Contract Property Accountant proficient in Yardi software to manage all financial transactions of our property portfolio. This role involves managing all accounting operations related to our properties, including processing income and expenditures, producing budgets, and reporting on financial status. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the real estate industry, excellent analytical skills, and a strong aptitude for numbers.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all Yardi data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Execute monthly accounting responsibilities including month-end closings, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Analyze financial data and provide insights on budget variances.

Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.

Prepare and submit timely monthly financial statements.

Maintain the company's fixed asset system.

Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Collaborate with financial auditors during annual audits.

Communicate effectively with management, staff, and external partners.

Requirements

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in property management accounting, preferably using Yardi software.

Thorough understanding of accounting procedures and principles.

Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for numbers.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Demonstrable problem-solving skills, particularly in a property management setting.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Demonstrable organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
