Description
Our client in the Medical Industry is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Grant Writer and Coordinator to join their team. You will be responsible for researching suitable funding sources that align with their mission and services. We expect a proactive approach towards their program departments to recognize funding needs and potential grants.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all formal written communication including letters of inquiry, grant proposals, reports, and award acknowledgment
Oversee the grants calendar, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met and communicated to the relevant staff members
Monitor grants and budgets to ensure compliance with all fiscal, regulatory, and funding agency requirements
Stay updated with current topics and issues related to grant proposals and maintain relevant resource files
Facilitate the cultivation of new grant funders, identify prospects, collaborate with executive leadership to establish new relationships and arrange site visits
Conceptualize and implement complex grant proposals and supervise them post-award
Oversee fundraising appeals and donor-focused publications, along with other special projects as assigned
Serve as an in-house editor for newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and other public awareness campaigns
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years in a related fieldSkills and Abilities:
Proven record of leading successful fundraising campaigns
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong skills in concept development and research
Experience in program development and evaluation
Knowledge in strategic planning
Strong editing and proofreading abilities
Experience in budget preparation and management
Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team
