Purpose:
Apply administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to assignedprojects to ensure their successful and timely completion within theallocated budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction:
Perform work under very limited supervision requiring the need toexercise independent judgement and discretion on a regular orfrequent basis.Position may include direct supervisory responsibility of staff toinclude hiring decisions, direction and delegation of workassignments, performance and evaluation, training and development,employee relations and disciplinary issues, compensation, andtermination decisions.At the Operational and Company Level:
Assist with the marketing of the firms capabilities to establish newclients and enhance relationships with existing clients.Coordinate with other internal departments to meet projectrequirements.Do the Work:
Perform project development for complex projects, includingfinalizing scope of projects, preparing bid summaries, preparingproject budgets and cost estimates.Prepare and direct preparation of designs, specification, plans,estimates and reports for projects.Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assignedprojects stay within budget allocation.Responsible for the monitoring and management of work-in-process,billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts.Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operationalinsight for driving projects and executing deliverables.Conceptualize the initial civil design approach for assigned phasesof large land/site development and/or civil engineering work.Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all projectquestions including technical requirements, completion requirementsand billing inquiries.Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.Assist team leader in securing repeat business from existing clientsand identifying new clients.Supervise work of project personnel to ensure that it meets thehighest professional standards.Liaise with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teamson projects.Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to thecontract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which maysignificantly affect staffing requirements or budget.Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problemsincluding field investigation or inspections, detailed design work,detailed review of design computations done by others and generalcoordination of design aspects.Review job cost sheets and assist with preparation of monthlybillings.Success Metrics and Competencies: Ideal candidate willconsistently demonstrate

Minimum f seven (7) years of experience within the A/E industry toinclude years of project management.Bachelors Degree in civil engineering, land surveying, planning, orrelated discipline.Registered professional in field of expertise.Thorough understanding of business and financial principles in aconsulting business as well as municipal codes and regulations.A proven track record of innovation, leadership, and creativity.Physical Demands and Working Environment:
