  We are currently looking for a Project Manager - Learning & Development to join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries.

  Position Highlights:

  This position applies adult learning and project management best practices with the Learning and Development team; NSC stakeholders, SMEs and vendors to ensure new or revised training programs and products are produced on time, within budget and comply with NSC standards.  The position also works with the Strategic Initiatives team to support organization-wide transitional changes that will impact the daily work of a large cross section of the staff. 

  Responsible for customizing project plans that guide the design, development, deployment and maintenance of training products and programs. Escalates issues and take corrective actions in a proactive manner to manage risk, as well as identify and implement process improvements. Responsible for all project-related communications.  This role will facilitate the transition from current practices to desired future states, ensuring smooth implementation, and minimizing disruption to business operations.

  What You’ll Do:

  Project Management (50%):

  Develop project plans and collaborate with cross-functional team members to specify goals, schedule tasks, identify risks, develop contingency plans, and allocate resources.

  Build relationships and work cross-functionally with the practice areas and other shared services to ensure project success.

  Grows change advocacy within the broader organization and establishes change agent networks across all workstreams.

  .Ensures product/project owners get the right attention from the relevant stakeholders needed for development and implementation.

  Communicate with stakeholders, SME’s and vendors on project status, prepare and facilitate project meetings, escalate issues, and take corrective actions in a proactive manner to manage project risk.

  Product Development (50%):

  Develop project plans to design, develop, deploy and maintain e-learning, VILT and ILT training products.

  Provide active support to vendors and stakeholders during each phase of product development to ensure an on-time, on-budget product build meeting the minimum requirements stated in the SOW and ensuring new/ revised training programs comply with NSC quality standards.

  Support product owners during the pilot testing process, including managing feedback and the revision processes with stakeholders, SME’s and vendors.

  Responsible for driving the QC/ QA of all project deliverables, ensuring new/ revised training programs comply with NSC quality standards.

  Identify suitable resource strategies, including vendor partnerships, project support, internal resources and subject matter experts supporting the product development and production process.

  We’re Looking for Someone with: 

  Bachelor's degree

  2-3 years’ experience in Change Management and successfully driving organizational change initiatives including stakeholder alignment, communications planning and execution, training needs assessment.

  2-3 years’ experience with execution of strategic and tactical Learning and Development programs and initiatives.

  Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal.

  Knowledge of project management approaches like Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall

  High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to work across teams and departments.

  Demonstrated ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing tasks in a fast-paced work environment, often with competing deadlines.

  Proficient in MS Office and technology-driven training solutions.

  Ability to identify customer needs, analyze and logically organize information, and transform information into professionally designed, engaging, and effective solutions.

  Makes decisions within the procedures and guidelines of National Safety Council.

  Preferred Experience:

  Proficient user of Smartsheet

  General understanding of emerging behavioral learning sciences strategies

  Experience in the non-profit industry

  Travel - annually for BeNSC meetings and Quarterly for onsite project meetings

  This is a remote position

  Salary range: $72,000 to 78,000
