This is a remote position reporting to Chicago, IL.The Project Manager II is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining the Encelium Project Management process lifecycle; providing project status updates; arranging and facilitating team meetings from inception to completion of each project; providing project management support for External/Internal resources, conducting kick off meetings and preparing project
What Will You Do?
Responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining the project lifecycle process. This includes, but is not limited to, following the milestones for Encelium Project Management; scheduling and holding the weekly and monthly project update meetings; maintaining/updating project status.
Responsible for reviewing Architectural RCP’s, Fixture Schedules, Lighting Control Specifications and preparing Submittal packets to sales channel.
Responsible for scheduling and managing assigned projects for the Encelium services group. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking the status of developing projects, using resources to obtain status information, and providing project management support for other product groups as needed.
Responsible for communicating project status. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating project status updates and needs, maintaining and distributing monthly project status reports, maintaining and distributing bi-monthly development priority reports.
Arranging and facilitating internal/external team meetings from inception to completion of each project, running weekly project status meetings to include developing agendas, running meetings, keeping and distributing minutes.
Providing project management support externally for Sales Agent Channel, distributors, EC’s. Also support internally; Sales, Product development teams, Application Engineering, or other depts. as needed.
Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Education:
At a minimum a bachelor’s degree
Experience:
3-4 years of engineering design work experience or several years specifically of Project Management.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control several projects at various stages of work.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information. Must be able to able to craft and give presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.
Must demonstrate effective negotiation skills and be able to adapt to rapidly evolving business climate and environment.
Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of common business and CRM tools. Ability to use AutoCAD and Bluebeam basic functions.
Higher consideration will be given with candidates having prior experience with reviewing of, Architectural plans, Fixture Schedules, and Specifications. Knowledge of Electrical systems (specifically but not limited to low voltage), addressable controls, lighting fixtures.
