JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Brief Various locations considered for this role(Sussex, WI, Madison, WI, and Sandy, UT) Position Purpose:To provideleadership and support to all aspects of the company\'sexcavatingoperation to include safety, operations, P&L, planning,scheduling, cost monitoring, cost reporting, customer reporting,performance tracking, budgeting, estimating, change orders, billing,marketing, staff development, business development and bid development.Essential Responsibilities Provide day-to-day oversight, support, andtechnical expertise to a portfolio of excavating projects Assure crewsand contractors are coordinated to work efficiently and meet customerrequirements, budgets, forecasts, and schedules Manage staff, preparebudgets, and prepare work schedules and assigning specific dutiesDemonstrate safety leadership by supporting the implementation andmanagement of the MJE Safety Management System and ensuring bestpractices are being followed. Integrate safety intoproject plans,establish safety goals,reinforce safety policies and procedures, supportsafetytraining, and monitor safety metrics. Support and coachsupervisors and employees, provide feedback to encourage learning andcreate awareness, set priorities, and focus on continuous improvementSupport the development of technical scopes of work and independentlydevelop cost estimates and resource requirements for excavating relatedconstruction projects Provide support to request for proposal (RFP)preparation and evaluations, project specifications, and pricingschedules for the excavating construction projects Work with AssistantProject Managers with project scope development and projectauthorization through completion Ensure that MJE Senior Management iskept current on the progress of excavating construction projects,business opportunities and industry trends Systematically and regularlyappraise and evaluate project progress against established goals,timelines, and objectives. Support Assistant Project Managers to correctdeficiencies in these areas Consult with Utilities, Clients and Ownersregarding design requirements, job specifications, bid requirements andoffer technical expertise regarding construction solutions Assist withthe development of common systems and processes to provide for properaccounting, reporting of project costs, customer billing, scheduling,material procurement, subcontractors, record keeping, documentation andbudgeting Assist with thetracking of key performance and financialmetrics that will optimize performance, productivity and reduce costsAssist in the preparation of...
