The project manager will be responsible for adhering to projectmanagement governance on multiple current and future projects.Additionally, the PM will be accountable for generating projectschedules, identifying/staffing needed resourcing, completing theprocurement of vendor products / implementation services, and submittingfunding requests as required. The PM will manage the delivery effortsand report status of each to the Executive Steering Committee.
The PM will work with multiple business and platform areas includingInformation Technology, Medicaid, Child Welfare, and other areas of theDepartment of Human Services (DHS) potentially including upper levelstate government committees. The Project Manager will conduct projectmeetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis, ensuringadherence to quality standards and project deliverables.
The PM will be part of a PMO team responsible for all aspects of ITproject governance, assessment, management and control. The ability togather and define requirements; build a project plan; identifyingresource needs; and transparent, clear communications across all levelsof stakeholders. Essential is the ability to multi-task on continuallychanging and morphing priorities as prescribed by leadership in responseto department and legislative direction.
