Come join our team. Our client is looking for a Project Manager for a -12month contract in Orlando, FL 32817.

Required Skills & Experience
Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical/Production engineering.
Previous project management experience (4-5 years) including management/oversight of project profit and loss and leading cross-functional teams.
5-year experience in managing international projects and customers.
Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills.
Good presentation skills.
Experience in managing Steam Turbine projects or similar heavy machinery equipment.
Good leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Possess influence skills to deal effectively within matrix reporting structure.
PMP or IPMA Certification.
What You Will Be DoingDaily Responsibilities
Starts with participation in the tendering phase and contributes during contract formulation and project requirements.
Ensure coherent contract execution, analyze contractual special requirements, review contract specifications, and schedule/report requirements with internal stakeholders.
A solid project plan is the basis for success. Therefore, leading the development of project plans activity to ensure effective execution by the project team and monitoring progress to ensure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan.
Coordinate preparation and execution of engineering schedules.
Monitor and report financial development during the project (budget vs actuals). This also entails the preparation or coordination of progress billings, pursuing timely payments from the customer, and authorizing payments to material suppliers and subcontractors.
Participation in project reviews, and acceptance testing, handles the completion of all close-out documentation such as As-built drawings, system operating instructions, transfers or excess materials, billings, collections, and payments, and all project records are a given for effective project execution.
Proactively handling the management of Contracts, Claims, and Risks.
Development of opportunities for Change orders and negotiations with customers.
Identify potential problems and devise contingency plans.
Develop and deliver monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external stakeholders.
