Description:

　　Our customer located in Whitmore Lake, MI, is searching for a candidate to fill a project management role. At this customer, Project Managers are responsible for managing Industrial Automation projects (multiple) from receipt of order, thru engineering, build, test, runoff, and installation. Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for the customer and with the customer during the life of a project until install and commissioning is complete, and the project is transferred to Service. A single Project Manager will handle projects with different ones at different stage of the cycle.

　　Project Managers responsibilities include;

　　• Act as Primary interface with the customer.

　　• Organize Kickoffs, both internal and external

　　• Set a schedule for a project and track that schedule

　　• Keep the customer update

　　• Make sure the internal team gets what it needs from the customer/end-user as well as vendors

　　• Coordinate any necessary activities with customer/end-user (such as kickoff, safety reviews etc.)

　　• Interface with internal departments to coordinate work and make sure schedules are followed

　　• Follow up make sure items are being ordered in a timely manner

　　• Interface with vendors as needed

　　• Coordinate testing/runoff activities with the customer/end-user

　　• Coordinate shipping

　　• Coordinate installation activities with customer

　　• Follow up on any open items

　　• Coordinate with Sales and customers on ECNs

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Must Haves:

　　Minimal associates degree, bachelor's Degree preferred (Technical degree optional)

　　5+ years working in a technical project management role

　　Strong background in customer interfacing on project management and project tracking

　　Exceptional communication and organizational skills

　　Automation or machine shop experience STRONGLY preferred
