　　Construction Project Manager

　　2 year+ Project for a Biotech Lab Rebuild

　　San Francisco, CA

　　$100K-150K Annual DOE

　　Job Summary:

　　Over the course of an estimated 2-year facility renovation project, this position will apply general contracting principles to oversee, guide, and anticipate problems and errors, will help develop corrective measures, contingencies, and workarounds, and generally protect the interests of the facility staff in maintaining the smooth execution of their planned experiments during the facility renovation plan. The purpose of this position is to anticipate, identify and manage problems that arise to allow staff to continue to perform their full-time jobs and roles without being distracted or pulled away for renovation-related disruptions or complications

　　It is preferred that this position should have basic knowledge about animal care and husbandry to help animal care staff ensure the safety and comfort of the animal populations contained within the facility during the renovation.

　　The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating different phases of building projects and facility modifications, including monitoring/coordinating specialized and critical components of projects. This position should demonstrate good judgment in selecting physical methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Bachelor s degree in a related area or four years of equivalent experience/training.

　　Three or more years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

　　Thorough working knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration and California Building Codes, including a full understanding of industry practices.

　　Thorough project management skills, including the skill to manage complex projects.

　　Thorough skills in problem recognition/avoidance/resolution.

　　Thorough organizational and analytical skills.

　　Detail-oriented, to accurately read schematics and other technical documents.

　　Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability for productive interactions with high-level administrators.

　　Proven interpersonal skills including the ability to manage contractors and adherence to agreed-upon project scope of work and budget.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience in construction or building management of experimental animal care facilities and/or biomedical research wet-lab areas.#CB #p1
