Because of our continued and sustained growth and success, we are now looking to increase our team with a new graduate engineer. Following a review of performance, fit within the organization and upon successful completion of your education, Mott MacDonald will offer you the opportunity to transition to an Early Career Engineer. Your role will then support our senior and experienced staff involved in infrastructure projects throughout North America. You will be based in our Seattle, WA office.This will be role that supports our project seniors deliver project deliverables. It is expected that the role will grow into a position based on your experienced gain that can carry out tasks with reduced supervision. As an early career engineer, your duties will include:Review background information on the project to understand project requirements;Assist with junior level estimating and scheduling tasks under the supervision of experienced estimators and schedulers, including a willing to learn how to use appropriate software programs;Be experienced in the MS Office suite to perform data analysis, taking and preparing meeting minutes and project correspondence;Assist with the drafting of technical documents, reports, drawings and specifications;Assisting in submittal and document workflow tasks;Be willing and perform design related tasks under tutorage of a licensed professional engineer;Perform computer aided design tasks;Assist with subsurface data review and analysis tasks;Maintain a positive attitude and conduct that supports or work and the existing relationships that Mott MacDonald holds with clients and owners.Candidate SpecificationMott MacDonald's experience in tunneling and infrastructure works dates back to the early 1900s. Our team of professionals provide cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for North American infrastructure projects in sectors including road, rail, water, wastewater and hydropower. We are looking for an individual to join our team to continue this and invite applications from candidates who are:Undertaking completion of an education program that will result in a Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering. Degree(s) should be in structural, geotechnical, or civil.Upon graduation and a review of performance and character, Mott MacDonald would like you to apply to be appointed as an Early Career Engineer. You will:Hold a Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering.
