JOB QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree would be beneficial.• Minimum 5 years of construction field inspection experience.o Experience in wastewater, water, or other industrial facilities preferred.• Construction experience and background preferred.o Experience in a wide variety of disciplines - civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or Industrial Controls a plus.• ICC or State Certifications in Concrete, Asphalt, and Soils & Aggregate are preferred.• Knowledge of safety standards and construction activities methods.• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions.• Computer skills to include developing and editing documents, reports, spreadsheets, PDF, and photo files.• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.• Proficient in basic general math including measurement, estimation, and problem-solving.• Excellent time management and organizational skills.• Excellent problem solving/analysis skills.• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and written.• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.• Ability to work outside occasionally in environmental, atmospheric, and sometimes hazardous conditions.• Ability to work outside with increased noise levels.• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and conditions that are associated with construction and development projects.• Positive service-oriented attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clients.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Observe and validate work performed to confirm compliance with building codes, permits, local ordinances, zoning regulations, and contract specifications.• Perform construction inspection of processes, procedures, systems, structures, and utilities.• Record and file necessary documentation pertaining to construction progress including daily reports, record drawings, and final documentation.• Assist in the review of contractor progress payments.• Provide field support services for submittals, RFIs, and requests for contract change orders.• Provide notification and documentation of any observed non-conformance to the project manager, construction manager, or project engineer and assist in issuing non-conformance reports.• Document and develop reports of on-site observations, as-built conditions, non-conformances, and inspections of construction activities with photographic records and entry into computer data systems.• Survey and document change order work in the field.• Document labor, equipment, and material expenditures on force account work.• Monitor the contractor's quality control activities, including contractor's materials sampling and testing and best management practices.• Perform other duties as assigned.SALARY: Starting at $55,000-$97.000 per year depending on experience
