Our Construction Engineering practice helps developers, contractors,designers, fabricators, and erectors efficiently and effectively moveprojects from initial concept to completion through hands-on involvement inthe construction process. Our Denver office prides itself on providingpractical and innovative solutions to real-world engineering challenges.Typical projects include steel connection design and erection engineering.Steel Connection Design includes designing steel connections of allcomplexities with solutions that can be fabricated and erected efficiently.Erection Engineering includes the evaluation of building stability duringconstruction and for temporary loads imposed during construction with thedesign of shoring, rigging, and development of unique engineering solutions.
The Role
We are seeking a talented Project Engineer for our Denver office. Thisindividual will join the Thornton Tomasetti Construction Engineering team aswe expand our local as well as national market presence. As our Denver officecontinues to grow, there is great potential for upward mobility and careerdevelopment within this role.
The goals of this role will be to support local and national projects. Taskswill include face-to-face interactions with existing clients as well as theopportunity to develop relationships with new clients. You'll form part of ateam delivering innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direction, coordination, planning, andcompletion of engineering projects.Communication with clients to understand the project requirements.Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according toproject requirements.Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildingsand materials using various building codes.Manage project design and deliverables as well as other design team members,supervise the work of engineers and modelers, and direct project staff inpreparing contract documents such as drawings and specifications.
Requirements
Degree (Master's preferred) in structural engineering or a relatedfield; an undergraduate in engineering is required.Professional Engineer and/or SE License preferred.Working knowledge of current industry analysis and 3D modeling software.Working knowledge of Tekla is a plus.Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
CompensationThe rate for this position generally is$80,000-$115,000annually.Thisrange is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay forEqual Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what asuccessful Colorado applicant might be paid and assumes that the successfulcandidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similarpositions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the samecompensation.Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permittedbyColoradoEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based onvarious factors, including operational needs, individual education,qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employeealready in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. Apotential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensationdecisions
