　　Job Description

　　AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer to be based in Waterloo, IA.

　　The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

　　Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced civil engineer.

　　Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

　　Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

　　Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

　　Identifies discrepancies in results.

　　Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

　　Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

　　Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering work such as roadway, sidewalk, recreational trail, and infrastructure.

　　Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　BA/BS + 4 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

　　Professional Engineer license in Iowa or ability to acquire one within 6 months of employment.

　　Valid Drivers License.

　　Preferred Requirements:

　　Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

　　7 + years’ experience in roadway and infrastructure design project performance and deliveries

　　Familiarity with Iowa DOT, and local agency specifications, policies and procedures

　　Computer proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe and Bluebeam

　　Ability to proactively communicate with project teams leadership and department staff

　　Alternative delivery experience a plus!

　　Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation in Iowa will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - 110,000.00 annually.
