  Design a career and build your future... Because it matters!McMillen is currently looking for a professional Project Electrical Engineerto join our growing organization. Qualified applicants will have 7 - 10 yearsof experience providing electrical engineering support for at least one ofthese various water resource projects including hydropower plants, dams,spillways, gate structures, pump storage, fish hatcheries, and watertreatment facilities. Services performed may include electrical and controlsystems for water control structures such as dams, spillways, intakes andoutlets, pipelines, and penstocks. Special interest is placed onexperience designing for generators and excitation systems; generatorauxiliary systems; generator buses; generator circuit breakers; unitstep-up transformers; medium and high voltage switchyards; power plantsubstations; balance of plant electrical systems such as medium and lowvoltage switchgear, motor control centers, DC battery systems, backupgenerators, relay protection and control systems; grounding and lightingsystemThe preferred location for this position is in Boise, Seattle, Denver,Sacramento or Portland, but will consider remote or hybrid arrangementsdepending on experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Design and analyze electrical systems using appropriate software and methods.Coordinate workload to complete assigned tasks on schedule, while balancingpriorities of multiple projects.Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the ProjectManager and other disciplines.Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines,communicate and coordinate needs from other disciplines to achieve completedesign.Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electricalsystems, and devices to meet project requirements.Coordinate and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs andchange orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changesinto the project documents.Familiarity of system relay protection functions and controls in generationsystems and industrial power distribution systems at medium and low voltages.Provide construction contract administration support as needed.Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, ElectricalCoordinators or TechniciansPerform other duties as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMinimum of 7 - 10 years related electrical engineering experienceCandidate must have excellent communication, written and organizational skillsStrong leadership skills with the ability to work independently, as a leadon a multi-discipline consulting team, or as a lead on a small team arerequirePosition will include an expectation of less than 10 - 15% travel formeetings with clients and vendors as well as project site visits.Compensation Package:Pay Range: $90,000 - $125,000 annualBenefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program consisting of Medical,Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) andmatch, 9 Paid Holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for Stock Ownershipand WellnWho We Are: McMillen, Inc.
