The Project Controls Professional II position is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and execution of project estimates. Monitor and report all project schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and plant management on time. Evaluate real-time cost data to determine the status and financial condition of a project. Develop reports for project personnel and management, providing updates on the financial health of the project and projected changes in scope/funding requirements as they develop. Track changes to projected and actual project budgets and record needed and/or potential budget impacts in the appropriate software along with communicating budget impacts to Corporate Finance. Implement budget and schedule changes into the baseline schedule as they are approved by the Project Review Committee and Executive Authorization Committee. Review schedule data to ensure the correct scope of work is reflected on all schedules. Working with the Project Manager to enter schedule status updates monthly in P6. Process journal entries into the financial system to accrue for completed but not invoiced work, and to transfer any identified mischarges to the correct project/work order. Ensure adequate configuration control of the data during the project approval process and project execution. Provide recommendations to Project Controls Supervision for improving Project Controls processes and desktop instructions.Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment. OR an AA degree and 7 years of project controls/project management experience. OR a High School diploma or GED and 9 years of project controls/project management experience in lieu of degree. Experience in the Utility Industry. Experience in process improvement. General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required. Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Primavera P6. Working knowledge of professional project management principles. Knowledge of project reporting and cost analysis of project information. Administration and time management skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Written and oral communication and presentation skills. Strong teamwork skills. Strong analytical, mathematical, and checking skills.
