JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Purpose A ProjectAppointment-Researcher(PA-RESEARCHER) classification can be utilized fora foreign national temporarily at MCW as a doctoral level scientist forthe purposes of acquiring a new research skill/s or technique (similarto a sabbatical). Attributes of a Project Appointment: PA-RESEARCHERSare hired when the individual desires to learn a new set of skills ortechniques within a laboratory at MCW. The skills to be acquired must bedetailed in the offer letter. There is no expectation of continuedemployment. The duration of the PA-RESEARCHER appointment cannot exceedone year. The start and termination dates must both be stated in theoffer letter. Primary Functions Design and perform laboratory proceduresand experiments with supervision. Manage and operate laboratoryequipment with supervision. Participate in meetings with principleinvestigator and research staff. Preferred Schedule: Full-time role withexpectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibilityrequired as necessary to accommodate business needs.
