Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzing current and past financial data and performance.
Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis.
Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement.
Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
Providing forward-looking forecasts and costs to complete for work orders and the contract as a whole.
Review General conditions monthly report/expenses and allocations to contracts.
Understand monthly requisition billing per approved pencil copies to final approval.
Investigate any unbilled project costs.
Assist in auditor prep.
Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) regarding contract documents, change orders, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
Prepare final billing package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Accounting Manager.
Work with the cash receipts team member to reconcile variances that may occur.
Responsible for the financial oversight and approval of accounting transactions of the Job-Order Contracts program.
Provide input to accounting for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.
Generate and distribute weekly receivables reports and monthly profitability reports.
Analyze the P & L report monthly.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
Recommend and implement agreed process improvements to the billing cycle.
Provide support of auditor requirements, both internal and external.
Additional assignments upon request of Department Heads.

Construction industry experience ($100-150m+ in revenue)

Working directly with Director of Accounting and CFO
Reports directly to the CFO
25-person Accounting team
Hours: 8am - 5pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm (first 2 weeks of month work a lot of OT at x1.5)
