Program Value Stream Leader (m/f/d) in Ratingen, permanent position

This Program Value Stream Leader will be responsible for managing a diverse customer set across the Fire Protection Military business. This role will be responsible for leading multiple diverse cross functional customer-focused teams. This position includes development of program plans, schedules, and budgets and is responsible for meeting company and customer objectives. This position will support strategic planning efforts, solutions for program problems, contract negotiations, and system development program management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for medium to large or multiple small to medium programs ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under their responsibility.
Manages the P&L of the various programs to ensure profitability targets are met
Develops milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization’s objectives are met.
Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) and manages value-stream strategy and progress.
Employs robust risk management techniques
Monitors strategic planning efforts for medium and/or complex programs.
Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
Supports the development of new business growth strategies.
Supports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.
Directs all customer program phases from inception through completion.
Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.
Works extensively with the military customer focused IPT (Integrated Project Team) to intake VoC (voice of customer) and turn this into programs that lead to profitable company growth.
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
Requires advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Intermediate to advanced capabilities in Excel and Powerpoint and ERP tools (NAVISION)
Project Management in Engineering e.g. APQP
Excellent communications and team building skills; able to effectively create and share a vision across a broad IPT.
Good command of the English and German language in speaking and writing
Able to see the big picture as well as working practically and finding hands-on solutions in a small team
Able to set priorities in a multi-project environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Navision business system experience or similar
Industry certifications such as ACE / Six Sigma / LEAN / Project Management e.g. PMP
