Summary This position is located in the Enrollment/Means Test Unit under the supervision of the Enrollment Coordinator, Patient Processing Section, and the Health Administration Service. The incumbent is responsible for verifying and certifying the legal entitlements of applicants seeking medical treatment or benefits at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, and associated clinics. Responsibilities Major duties include but not limited to: Interviewing and enrolling veterans applying for VA Healthcare Benefits Interprets, apply laws, directives and procedures to effectively enroll veterans Use various methods to verify eligibility entitlement for benefits. Counsel veteran and family on eligibility benefits; explain eligibility benefit package Processing all awards received during enrollment process. Process Ineligible/Rejected applications and makes notification to veterans and clinical staff. Works with others to resolve differences for the benefit of the team or project. Coordinates with the Regional Office, HEC, VBA agencies and other VA facilities on veteran eligibility status and issues. Serve as the point of contact for Veterans seeking guidance and eligibility inquiries of benefits.
