JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties Major Duties Distributes and balances theworkload among employees in accordance with established workflow or jobspecialization, assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload,and assure that each employee has enough work to keep busy. Keeps intouch with the status and progress of work and makes day-to-dayadjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtainingassistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise, such asbacklogs which cannot be disposed of promptly. Estimates and reports onexpected time of completion of work and maintain records of workaccomplishments and time expended and prepare production reports asrequested. Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques andmake available written instructions, reference materials and supplies.Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance withestablished procedures and practices. Maintains a current knowledge andanswer questions of other employees on procedures, policies directives,etc. and obtains needed information or decisions for supervisor onproblems that come up. Checks on work in progress or spot check work notrequiring review and reviews completed work to see that thesupervisor\'s instruction on work sequence, procedures, method ofdeadlines have been met. Amends or rejects work not meeting establishedstandards, refer to supervisor questions or matters not covered bystandard and problems in meeting performance standards. Monitors workingconditions such as seating, ventilation, lighting, safety, etc.; Informsemployees of available services and employee activities. Resolvessimple, informal complaints of employees and refer others to supervisor.Reports to supervisor on performance, progress, and training needs ofemployees, and on behavior problems. Provides information to supervisoras requested concerning promotions, reassignment, recognition ofoutstanding performance, and personnel needs.
