Master’s Degree in TESOL or related field.
A minimum of two years ESL teaching experience, preferably in a college-level intensive course.
High level of English Proficiency

Strong management skills, organizational and planning skills, ability to give clear, concise directions and explanations.
Ability to clearly communicate with AVP , supervisees, and students.
Knowledge of methods and techniques to enhance the acquisition of grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking for students learning English as a second language.
Knowledge of communicative language teaching practices.
Knowledge of methods and techniques to prepare students learning English as a second language to be academically, socially, and linguistically successful in mainstream university courses/
Experience adapting classroom content to better meet students’ needs.
Knowledge of and experience in developing, administering, and grading assessments
Job Description
The Program Manager of TSIE will be responsible for the oversight of the Texas State Intensive English program and will handle the administrative duties handled within an intensive English program. The Program Manager of TSIE will be expected to also teach some courses throughout the term. The Program Manager of TSIE will report directly to the Associate Vice President for International Affairs.
Job Duties
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Texas State Intensive English Program and the Online Texas State Intensive English Program.
Supervision of all TSIE instructors/adjuncts for both the in-person and the online program. This includes the training of all TSIE instructors.
Responsible for staffing and scheduling of classrooms for each section of both programs, including creating the courses in Banner and Canvas.
Initial creation of the TSIE curriculum, along with continued maintenance and oversight of the curriculum for all sections in both programs.
Ensures materials for the program are staying up-to-date, including, but not limited to: student handbook, faculty handbook, website, policies and procedures, textbooks, etc.
Provides oversight for assessment measures, which can include, but not limited to, organizing and administering placement testing and student placement exams , maintaining student folders on the share drive to keep attendance and rosters, providing pass/fail grades in Banner, student appeals, creating and submission of syllabi, creating student grade reports, and student evaluations.
Processes student documents, which can include, but not limited to, student transcripts, grade reports, proof of enrollments, and certificate of completions.
Obtain then maintain CEA accreditation for the program and completion of the CEA annual reports.
