Program Manager - Tech – Lead Location: Mclean, VA/Remote Duration: 12 months Description: Program Manager Roles Overview Client is seeking a program manager to assist with coordination of a multi-workstream initiative across several cross-functional internal and external teams. This initiative is focused on a critical customer facing product and involves the launch of new features to various customer populations and a migration of customers to a new product platform. The initiative is in its third phase of development and launch. The program manager will be responsible for monitoring multiple teams’ roadmaps and milestones, facilitating cross-team status meetings and ensuring cross-team issues and dependencies are tracked and resolved, with details outlined below Rols and Responsibilities: Management of cross-team activities - platform migration + feature launches Internal + External team coordination Develop and manage integrated schedule Develop and manage migration playbook and migration issues log Develop and manage detailed migration wave specific roadmap (features/dry runs and sequencing) Manage Program issues/risks log, decisions log, dependencies Meeting management & facilitation of regular cadence team interactions : Internal + External team coordination Facilitate weekly Friday Program Leadership meetings, create agenda and document notes from the meeting - joint with vendor Maintain cross-team Office Hours agenda Internal team coordination : Facilitate weekly Monday team meetings Facilitate weekly Tuesday Program Reviews and create deck for Program Reviews Facilitate planning meeting/retrospectives as needed Schedule and facilitate go/no go meetings, create go/no-go decks, and obtain necessary go approvals Management of program communication channels and assets : Internal + External team coordination Monitor shared Client/vendor slack channel and emails and update vendor issues log to bring visibility and for tracking Project shared google drive - Add vendor docs, Program Review decks, Claims report, etc. Client/vendor shared google drive - Manage access and certify shared google drive on quarter basis and re-add vendor resources Update Program Issues log - follow-up on vendor issues as needed to bring to closure (i.e. Client validations, working with internal operations teams, finance teams etc if needed) Update Program Action Items log as needed Update Program Confluence page as needed Update vendor Incidents log as needed Update KPI spreadsheet and create charts for weekly Program Review Communication with vendor, internal team, partner teams and stakeholders when needed to keep all informed Assist with issue resolution as needed Internal : Manage the coordination and updating of the program level roadmap Skills and Qualifications: Preferred candidates have Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle Exceptional communication skills Excellent problem solving and influencing skills A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done. Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of experience in technical program management Proficiency with the Google suite of applications Preferred Qualifications 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) Call Notes: Team Info: Retail Bank 4 Engineering teams in money movement space Critical customer facing product, its in phase 3 multi year program Work with external vendors focus on the same program Role Info: Hands on Sr. Program Manager role with strong technical program management and excellent communications background.
