Job Duties: RPM Freight Systems, LLC in Royal Oak, MI is a logistics and supply chain solutions company that provides specialized freight transportation for North America and Europe. We are seeking a Program Manager (Quality & Supply Chain) to be responsible for coordinating and supporting the development of S&OP model development for planning activities across commercial, strategy, supply chain, finance, and executive teams, globally. This role will support the facilitation of the monthly planning meetings ensuring adherence to current and future operating models, and function as a change leader, ensuring cross-functional partner collaboration and continuous improvement. The goal of this position is to improve efficiency and productivity while reducing costs and securing high customer and carrier satisfaction levels for RPM.
Job duties and responsibilities will include:
Facilitate the development and implementation of improvement ideas and lead projects as necessary.
Coordinate training of other individuals within the organization to develop and utilize basic improvement strategies such as lean, Kaizen, 5-S, etc., to help accomplish Continuous Improvement (CI) goals.
Manage programs of high impact, risk, and complexity while building and executing integrated plans across multiple teams
Align cross-functionally with other teams interacting with respective applications.
Collaborate with Product, the business, and other technology teams across the organization to identify and prioritize solutions and build a roadmap that can be delivered.
Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies.
Identify and produce valuable analytics for improved performance and business decisions.
Communicate with RPM stakeholders and provide the necessary support to more effectively negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
This position will coordinate and direct the work of a Program Analyst (Quality and Supply Chain).
NOTE: The position has no management authority and there is no discretion to hire, terminate, promote, or make budget or compensation decisions.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:
Special Skills:
1. Demonstrated experience creating operational metrics and dashboards.
2. SQL and Tableau visualization tools
3. Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available. Individual must be available to come into the office for regular meetings.
