Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of an initiating program for Cancer Inequities including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities. In general, the primary duties of the PM will include:
Program Planning:Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached.
Program Implementation:Lead teams in the development and implementation of program strategies.
Monitor and approve program budgets.
Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization.
Team Management:Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
Resource Management:Manage and utilize resources in alignment with the budget, project plan, and available tools and technology.
Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.
Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as a liaison between the organization and its stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
Prepare and present regular program reports to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s DegreeExperience:
Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of program management, or similar administrative leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Graduate Degree preferred.Experience:
Experience in higher education, undergraduate medical education or graduate medical education, or hospital administratio
Action oriented, program development skills, and skill in leveraging resources effectively and efficiently
Ability to collaborate with others across multiple levels of an organization to achieve results and build relationships of trust among various internal and external stakeholders.
Proven record of accomplishment in exercising discretion and independent judgment effectively in decision-making processes.
Experience adapting to changing environments and navigating organizational dynamics.
Ability to develop and execute several key projects while simultaneously and continually setting priorities on emerging requirements and changing timelines effectively and efficiently.

Specifically, this program manager supports the Director of the Institute of Translational Genomic Medicine with a recently awarded international effort. The program manager will coordinate establishment and sustainability activities of multiple international sites and coordinate the research-related interactions across the consortium. This individual should have the capacity to manage large multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research efforts. The responsibilities would include but not limited to:
Description of Job Duty
Specifically, this program manager supports the Director of the Institute of Translational Genomic Medicine with a recently awarded international effort. The program manager will coordinate establishment and sustainability activities of multiple international sites and coordinate the research-related interactions across the consortium. This individual should have the capacity to manage large multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research efforts. The responsibilities would include but not limited to:
Development of workflow processes, standard operating procedures
Assisting the Team Lead and Co-Investigators in monitoring and ensuring team compliance with government and private funding mechnism award requirements.
Ensuring that milestones are being met.
Facilitating team communication, as well as communicating frequently and directly with leadership across participating institutions.
Interfacing frequently with the funders.
Oversight and implementation of administrative processes, compliance activities, project development, database management
Ensuring timely publication of findings, availability of high-quality data and proper IP management.
Preparing for annual reviews and site visits.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption.
