Position Description
This position is an executive position which supports the Davidson County Drug Court in the implementation and management of a 24/7 addiction rehabilitation center. The position is responsible for the administration and oversight of grants and the use of available resources. The position is also directly responsible for the coordination of clinical treatment mandated by the Drug Court and supervises the case management, residence, and treatment of a high-risk non-violent population. This position requires a high degree of independence and accountability for instituting and evaluating drug court best practices.
Typical Duties
Responsible for the strategic planning, managing, direction, and coordinating the operations of DC4 programs and services
Manages the daily operations of the treatment facility and supervises professional and support staff
Ensures professional staff adhere to performance standards, oversees client data, manages the budget, and coordinates services from various disciplines to facilitate recovery of the drug court participants
Works closely with the drug court Judge to ensure policies are followed, participants needs are addressed and program standards are met
Assists in the development and design of program objectives and content
Responsible for outreach, including: the dissemination of program information through designing pamphlets, attending conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., in order to promote, publicize, and gain support for the program(s).
Oversees finances and budgeting
Oversees development and sustainment of volunteer program
Writes or assists in writing grant proposals
Participates in the delivery, evaluation, and analysis of programs and services
Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in substance abuse, mental health and recovery courts.
Monitors and makes adjustments to the program as needed
Attends and/or chairs meeting and workshops as needed
Coordinates community resources
Directly involved in all personnel decisions, work assignments, disciplinary actions and terminations
Works closely with the DC4 Recovery Foundation board members
Works closely with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
Performs related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, a J.D., or other related fieldPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior experience and/or education in the field of alcohol and drug treatment
Licensed to diagnose and treat mental illness
Three to five years of program management experience within mental health, addiction, or social service
Full-time, Civil Service positions -
10 Vacation Days per year (increasing after 5 years of service)
