Job Summary
The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation of assigned program.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Plans and implements program events such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings and workshops including overseeing the budget, timeline, and logistics of each event in coordination with the Center Director.
May assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.
Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings.
Coordinates program communications and marketing including creating and designing graphic materials for print media, such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, newsletters, reports, and newspaper.
Compiles program statistics including identifying and presenting economic data on various topics, such as trade and demographics.
May develop and update training materials and deliver training sessions.
Maintains program records and databases.
May assists in identifying funding opportunities.
Plans and implements programs and assists in their evaluation.
May supervise program staff.

Additional Responsibilities
Assists with press briefings, media interviews, advertising, promotional activities, and special events.
Assists with writing content for annual reports, brochures, flyers, news releases, technical papers, proceedings, newsletters, posters and presentations, and web.
Monitors key social media activities
Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of data for completeness and quality
of data collected and stored by the center
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Management or closely related field.
Experience – Two years of program administrative experience.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Social media platforms and communication.
Ability to:
Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Preferred Knowledge and Abilities
A strong sense of aesthetics, typography, and layout, as well as experience in graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong writing skills.
Synthesize and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Licensing / Professional Certification – None.

Salary: $19.06/hourly
