Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for a Program Assistant to support the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility team (DEIA) within the Middle East Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Program Assistant will support the DEIA Team and Bureau DEIA Council (MEDI). As a member of the Administrative Management Services (AMS) team, the Assistant will also provide occasional administrative support to that team.
The individual will work closely with the DEIA and Resilience Advisor and MEDI leadership team to provide administrative, strategic, technical, logistical, and program management support to help implement the Middle East (ME) Bureau's existing and emerging efforts to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within the Bureau. Tasks will be varied and structured to align with the individual's interests and career objectives as much as possible. The Program Assistant will also support efforts to ensure the ME Bureau develops and implements proactive and integrative strategies and practices that lead to a more equitable, inclusive, and representative work culture.

Responsibilities
Support the coordination or regular MEDI meetings, including the identification of action items and delegation of tasks, and reporting out of progress.
Participate in engagement with the Office of the Chief DEIA Officer to keep abreast of latest Agency policies and practices.
Support documentation of office-wide DEIA activities and initiatives for information sharing to council members and adaptation for Bureau-wide efforts.
Track and communicate progress of deliverables and initiatives across the Bureau to offices and Front Office (FO) leadership team.
Contribute to the development and implementation of DEIA Strategy and Action Plan and work with colleagues across the bureau to collect input and feedback.
Occasionally submit work orders in support of ME Bureau staff requests for support.
Coordinate training, lead new staff member/employee (NEO) orientation, lead structured listening sessions, and support the development of other opportunities for cultural awareness raising across the bureau.
Assist with the coordination and execution of ad-hoc focus groups, surveys, stay interviews, exit interviews and other feedback gathering mechanisms.
Maintain knowledge/awareness of all Bureau DEIA related activities.
Serve as backup to the DEIA and Resilience Advisor role when the Advisor is out of the office.
Work with the Administrative Management Services (AMS) office to act as the main timekeeper for the bureau, ensuring all timecards are processed on time coordinating with supervisors to ensure their staff timecards have been verified.
Administrative duties may include:
Maintain calendars
Schedule and/or lead meetings
Maintain files
Take notes and prepare program documents
Create, edit, and share Presentations
Escort visitors
Prepare travel-related documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma and a minimum of one-year professional administrative support experience.
Currently hold, or Have the ability to obtain, Facility Access Clearance
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Desire and ability to work within the diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility space.
Basic understanding or knowledge of the U.S. and international issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and basic experience working within this context.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
Experience with training and working with diverse stakeholders, colleagues, and groups
Excellent customer service skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, internet, e-mail applications, and database applications.
Proficiency in administrative and clerical functions.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational (planning), oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
