Summary This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner. Responsibilities As a Program Analyst (CHUMS Coordinator), you will: Coordinate activities related to the Computerized Home Underwriting Management System (CHUMS). Determine the data requirements of supervisors and distribution of reports and system enhancement information. Analyze problems relating to CHUMS data input and recommends procedural changes to the Center, Field Offices and Headquarters. Perform studies of proposed changes to the CHUMS system and operations and advises Headquarters staff members and private contractors of potential problems. Analyze CHUMS data and develop new methods of correlating and disseminating this information to staff. Coordinate activities related to the CHUMS Lender Access System (CLAS), through the Mortgage Bankers Association, HUD Headquarters and Field Offices. Update software to the CKAS system to permit enhancements devised by the Mortgage Bankers Association and HUD Headquarters. Monitor and assign program code identifiers for CHUMS users. Requirements Conditions of Employment The official duty station for this position will be in Santa Ana, California. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Conducting studies relevant to organizational goals and objectives; AND - Performing trend analysis, reporting findings and written recommendations to management officials; AND - Providing recommendations for improvements, implementation, and evaluation of program areas; AND - Overseeing database projects and providing progress reports to management or high-level officials. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
