Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Public Health is seeking a Professor/Associate Professor tenure track or tenured in Urban-Global Public health with a focus on Global Public Health. Qualified candidates must have a PhD or equivalent. Additional requirements include a strong record of scholarly achievement, sustained extramural research funding as Principal Investigator, experience in teaching and mentoring a new generation of public health researchers, evidence of community engagement, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and anti-racism.
The ideal candidate will enhance our School's strengths in global public health. An excellent start-up package is available.
The faculty member shall:
  • Lead a rigorous, externally funded research program
  • Engage in scholarly activity including publications and presentation of research results at the national and international levels
  • Teach coursework as well as mentor students and early career faculty
  • Service to and with the department, school, university, and communities/populations we serve
  • Understands and adheres to RBHS compliance standards as they appear in RBHS (legacy UMDNJ) Corporate Compliance Policy and Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy

  Qualifications

  

Minimum Education and Experience
Successful applicants will have:
PhD or equivalent

A strong record of publications in Peer Reviewed Public Health Journals
A sustained record of major extramural research funding as Principal Investigator
* Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level
* Experience mentoring masters and doctoral students as well as early career faculty
* Evidence of professional community service
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and antiracism

Overview
The CEPH-accredited Rutgers School of Public Health offers multiple master and doctoral degrees, dual-degree, certificate, and articulated BA/BS-MPH degree programs across 4 departments. Applicants will find a wide range of collaborative experts within the School (sph.rutgers.edu) and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS; rbhs.rutgers.edu)
