  Job Description:

  This Professional Land Surveyor position is an office-based land surveying work of a supervisory nature. The work involves a variety of technical, multi-disciplined engineering work related to professional land surveying and the development of Right of Way Plans.

  Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  · Supervising the development, recordation, and existing inventory of R/W plans involved in property acquired for transportation projects,

  · Interpreting legal documents,

  · Writing legal description

  · Making decisions relating to survey and real estate issues and,

  · Approving project plans.

  To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

  Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in Maine and two (2) years of experience in land surveying at the professional level.

  Retirement Plan – The State of Maine contributes 13.16% for MSEA positions and 17.96% for Confidential positions, of employee’s pay to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS), on behalf of the employee.

  Gym Membership Reimbursement – Improve overall health with regular exercise and receive up to $40 per month to offset this expense.

  Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts – Set aside money pre-tax to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or daycare expenses.
