　　Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 24 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1* of the Civil Service Law.*Possession of a NYS Professional Engineer’s license with current registration is required. 　　Duties Description • Responsible for analyzing and appraising the structural designs and specification requirements for large complex multi trade new or rehabilitated building construction projects. • Identify potential structural design and specifications problems and possible solutions, including cost effectiveness to structural material problems, structural systems and/or equipment.• Review structural design change orders resulting from design changes and change order requests during the design and building construction phases. • Supervise and direct subordinate Building Structural Engineers and Drafting Technicians to prepare structural designs and specifications used in the structural installation of new and/or rehabilitation building construction projects. • Manage, assign, and review Consultant Design work.• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.• Perform other duties as assigned.• Some travel is required. • Continued employment as a Professional Engineer 1 (Civil/Structural) is dependent upon continued possession of a New York State Professional Engineers License with current registration. Failure to maintain a New York State License and current registration will result in removal from employment.
