Responsibilities

Moving materialsMaterial handlers move materials and products around a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or other industrial setting. They may use machinery like forklifts to move heavy items.

Loading and unloadingMaterial handlers load and unload materials onto or from containers, racks, or trays.

Preparing materials for shipmentMaterial handlers select items from storage, wrap them, and prepare them for delivery.

Inspecting materialsMaterial handlers inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or defects.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

standing for 8 hours at one time
