Greenheck Group is currently hiring to grow our weld team on 2nd shift. The starting pay is $23.18/hour and you will receive an additional $1.50shift differential for working on 2nd shift. Set up and operate equipment effectively and safely (welder, torch, plasma cutter, grinder) Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements Size up components and verify they are within specified tolerances Set up weld equipment for specific task to be performed Weld components using proper equipment and techniques. Grind and finish welds to make aesthetically appealing Operate material handling equipment as needed, based on safety guidelines Perform daily housekeeping tasks and preventative maintenance tasks High level of focus and concentration level to ensure quality work and to avoid safety hazards Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18+ Between 6-12 months welding experience Basic math, reading and computer skills Ability to pass welding test on material in use Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and read measuring devices Ability distinguish the various thickness and types of material Strong attention to detail and high focus on safety and quality Physical Demands: Must lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a routine basis Stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc. We are an equal opportunity employer.
