Ensure the area meets theproduction schedule and that the trailers produced are consistent withthe Engineering drawings provided in the drawing package.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure individual and employee compliance with all safety rules andrequirements
Manage and direct the activities of employees to ensure that theproduction, quality, and safety requirements are consistently met. Thisincludes the following but is not limited to the following activities.
o Defines staffing plan for the week based on production volume,prepares line for successful start of next shift, managesrework/defects/scrap created by his team and implements preventativemeasures, implements and follows up on Lean Manufacturing activities,performs safety observations, defines and reviews standard work togetherwith ME department, updates team training matrices, and keeps area cleanand organized using 5S principles.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with theorganizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includeinterviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directingwork; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;grievance resolution; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Attending weekly safety meeting and communicating the topics discussedin those meetings to the employees in their group, as well as makingsure the employees follow the safety guidelines, and disciplineemployees when they do not.
Attending weekly Review Meetings that consist of comparing the SalesOrder information and the Bill of Materials to identify anydiscrepancies and to make sure a resolution is obtained before theparticular job is started on the production floor.
Coordinate with other Supervisors and the Superintendent to resolve anyissues that could prevent the production schedule from being met.
Work with the Engineering Department to resolve any issues that arriveduring the build process that could result in a Quality, Safety, orperformance issue with the product being produced.
Communicate with the Production Manager and the ME/Maintenance Managerto ensure tooling, quality, and safety concerns are addressed whilemaintaining the production schedule.
