The Department of Administrative and Financial Services is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team in the General Government Service Center (GGSC).
A well-qualified candidates for this HR Manager position will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a positive can-do attitude. This position is responsible for providing assistance to agencies regarding HR matters, to include investigations, performance management, contract interpretation, dispute resolution and more. The General Government Service Center’s reputation rests on our ability to successfully partner with agency management in achieving their goals. As a Human Resource Manager with the GGSC you will use critical thinking, creativity, positivity, and best practices to assist our agency in all human resources matters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing high level human resources support to agency management including labor relations, investigations, employee performance management and related human resources functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify, you must have professional level experience in human resources management. Preference may be given to candidates with significant experience in human resources, and labor relations.
The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability and experience in providing a broad range of HR-related support and training to managers and supervisors, and sound decision making.
A successful history of providing exceptional customer service and partnering with agencies in providing meaningful HR services with an emphasis on being innovative.
Knowledge of and prior experience working with bargaining unit contracts and merit systems principles.
A demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced team-based environment with proficiency in meeting shifting priorities.
