The Production Planner I is responsible for assisting toimprove customer service levels (on time delivery) and working capital(inventory turns). This role is responsible for coordinating andexpediting the flow of work and materials within or between departmentsaccording to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties includereviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules,conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work andcompletion dates, monitoring inventory levels, and solving productionproblems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in planningprocess for area of responsibility. Collaborate with demand planners andbusiness units\' cross-functional teams to develop and improvestrategies and processes that drive on time delivery and working capitaloptimization. Provide recommendations on inventory strategies that willsupport upside revenue opportunities and fluctuations in model/mix byproduct line. Responsible for scheduling and releasing daily work.Develop and maintain product configuration assumptions to help calculateunits. Work with product management to understand new productintroduction (NPI) and end of sale product transitions to seamlesslyphase-in or phase-out within operations with minimal risk (e.g.,resource, inventory, and capacity). Support the seamless interaction ofpurchasing and materials management to resolve gaps between supplycapabilities and production plans. Act as the day-to-day point ofcontact for operations to assist in the resolution of order promisingsituations, customer delivery difficulties and demand versus supplyconflicts. Ensure planning capabilities support maximum efficiencies andlowest cost of operation through systems utilization and processimprovements. Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree in related fieldOR 2 years related experience in the Supply Chain/Manufacturing functionwithin a similar working environment; Additional Qualifications: Proventrack record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and prioritiesin a fast paced environment; Ability to evaluate situations objectivelyand demonstrate the ability to make decisions that are intended to havea positive impact on work performance or area and...
