Our Planning & Scheduling Team is looking for a Production Planner. This is a great opportunity to join Emerson at our Ede facility; it's a full-time role reporting to our Supervisor Planning & Scheduling.
What does this role do?
Release and sequence work orders for production according to the work order start date that is related to the daily and weekly build plan. Ensure production documents are correctly and completely released. Early recognition of bottlenecks in production workload and make timely recommendations on short- and long-term production capacities and resources, as well as on material requirements. Responsible for setting-up and maintaining departments, resources and routings in the Oracle business system. Participate in the RPA / BOT team, to automate management information and daily order information on the production floor.
What does that look like day-to-day?
Schedule and sequence the workload to match the daily and weekly level loaded build plan taking into account material and resource availability.
Identify and recommend production capacity and material delays to the Manager Production, the Supervisor Planning & Scheduling and the Procurement Manager.
Monitor the progress of released work orders and reports statuses to the Supervisor Planning & Scheduling and the Manager Production and advice on impact and measures.
Review all past dues, analyze root cause and communicate with responsible departments
Takes lead in and resolves delays and issues with work orders and other production documents, the Oracle business system and the Super Service Center system.
Initiate cooperation with Engineer To Order department, ICT, Customer Care, Shipping, Configuration Management and Product Structure, to avoid/solve production delays and issues.
Participate in continuous improvement process (CIP) of production, planning and scheduling related processes, applications and systems.
Set-up and maintaining departments, resources and routings in the Oracle business system
Manage handling of cancelled produced products (Restock).
Translate change order requests for work orders in production, into production actions and routings and take care of implementation.
Working together with the Subject Matter Experts and then use automation tools to create the automation sequence (code creation) that will support a specific task or process, including (but not limited to) Power Automate or Power BI, Excel macros and other Emerson IT-approved automation tool standards.
What qualifications and experience would be useful for this role?
Fluent English and Dutch language skills; verbal, reading and writing.
2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
APICS Certification preferred.
Some experience using an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is needed
Knowledge of Power Automate and Power BI beneficial
