  Job DescriptionYou will be working as a production opener or packer to support our production lines. While working in these positions, you will be trained as production operator with our various production equipment lines giving you the opportunity for advancement.

  Qualifications

  To perform this job successfully, individual need to be able to perform each essential duty describe above satisfactorily. The requirements listed are a main, but not exclusive representation of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1-year experience working in a production helper experience.High School diploma or equivalentAbility to operate a pallet jack to more product from warehouse to production line.Attention to detail and good record keeping skills is required.Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items.Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand for long periods of time and use repetitive motion to handle products.Able to communicate effectively with employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities is required.Eager to learn new duties for future promotion opportunities.Own or reliable transportation to work, location is not on a bus line.Employer may conduct a drug and background check.Essential Duties and Skill Requirements

  Packer:

  Reporting to thePackaging Team Leader,the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Pack the branded orders in the same sequence as the Branding Operator.Perform a secondary product and imprint quality inspection.Take necessary actions to prevent any packaging delays.Able to identify between High Efficiency vs. Specialized orders.Communicate with the Shipping Department when order is ready to be handed off.Possess a good understanding of current departmental functions.Have basic computer skills.Complete necessary documentation and reports.Opener:

  Generate production schedule from the system and communicate specific deviations to Team Leader.Perform a preliminary product quality inspection and take necessary actions to prevent any processing obstacles.Review branding and packaging instructions to ensure they are clear and report back any discrepancies.Identify and label High Efficiency and Specialized orders according to the standard procedures.Communicate with the packaging and /or the other branding departments as needed.Possess a good understanding of current departmental functions.Required to have basic computer skills.Complete necessary documentation and reports.Reasoning, Physical and Environment

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
