　　Job Description

　　Process Operator 1 – Pre-weigh/Material Handling

　　This position will pre-weigh food grade raw materials used for probiotic production. Keen attention to detail required.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

　　Pre-weigh of food grade raw materials for flask, seed tanks, fermenters and cryo protectant batches.

　　4 day (12 hour shifts) involves heavy lifting or

　　5 day (8 hour shift) involves heavy lifting.

　　Documentation of raw material information on individual raw material bags and batch sheets.

　　Transferring information into a computer to remove from inventory.

　　Conduct periodic cycle counts of raw materials in the probiotics warehouse.

　　Compare the data in SAP to what is found in the warehouse.

　　If a mixed lot, there is lifting of raw materials to be able to count and determine the exact amount. May require use of fork truck and / or hand counting which requires re-stacking a full or partial pallet.

　　Assist operations in media mixes, cleaning as time permits.

　　Clean spills as they occur.

　　Daily cleaning of pre-weigh room.

　　Weekly sanitization

　　Monthly they need to replace pre-weigh bin inner liner which requires lifting of raw materials. Could be 100grams to 50 lbs. Monthly, all bins, tables and scales are removed from the room and then room is sanitized.

　　Communicates effectively orally and in writing, as in division of tasks, cross over, email, problem resolution, feedback, process documentation.

　　Works in an organized and safe manner to address safety, GMP and housekeeping concerns.

　　Demonstrates high quality and integrity in work.

　　Contributes to continuous improvement through observations, attention to detail and follow through.

　　Implements, adheres to and recommends changes to ISO standards.

　　100% adherence to all safety practices and quality assurance systems including ISO 9001 and ISO 22000

　　Acts in compliance with all company policies including, but not limited to: Quality, Safety, Food/Feed Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC. Audits the area cleaning log and batch sheets for completion.

　　Responsible for adherence to all quality systems including: ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements with an understanding of DuPont/Danisco Corporate Quality policies and procedures.

　　Job Requirements

　　KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

　　High School Diploma.

　　Basic computer skills required: Microsoft excel

　　Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Must be able to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities to meet objectives.

　　Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to work with a very interactive and self-directed group.

　　Highly motivated and Safety conscious.

　　WORK CONDITIONS:

　　Position will work days. Schedule based on staffing levels. Ability to work overtime.

　　Must be able to handle physical demands of the position including frequent lifting of up to 55 lbs.

　　Must be able to effectively communicate with team members
