Your Impact as a Production Operations Manager- ( The shift for this role will be 12:00 - 8:30 PM CST )
The CSS Production Operations Manager I role will report to either the CSS site location leader, Director of Operations, or CSS Operations Manager
Managing a team of skilled production/machine operators
Digital Print/Bindery and Automated Mail Assembly
Inventory control
Facilities management
Process control and documentation
Direct training of operators and potential trainers
Supplier relations
Internal and external SLA delivery
Process issue tracking and resolution
Attendance and HR policy management
Key Responsibilities
Detailed responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
Working with site leader and other managers to establish and manage CSS operations
Acting as Safety Leader and maintaining safe working environment and processes
Recruiting – partnering with Alight HR, CSS leadership, and CBI
Equipment Installs, stabilization and maximum utilization
Warehousing optimization and inventory management
Project management and potential for fulfillment consulting
Leads team to meet production schedules by ensuring all work is completed on-time, accurately, and 100% complete
Adherence to and coaching on best practices
Performance management
People – performance and development
Operations – Quality and On-time Delivery, SLA compliance
Issue resolution: Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions
Issue-tracking and control
KPIs/Metrics application and reporting
Daily performance reporting
Partnering with multi-location operational leaders and production schedulers to develop and manage production schedules
Process Improvement - Create and implement process improvement initiatives, both as projects and as ongoing daily best practices
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, logistics, or related business field a plusSkills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Active listening and effective interpersonal skills
Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and drive results
Researching, identifying, and documenting process improvement opportunities and issue resolution.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Responds willingly, promptly, and effectively to changing work environments, changing priorities, and new situations.
Demonstrated problem solving ability in an environment of rapid change and with many variables
Strong process management skills
Developed analytical skills – ability to interpret and use data for production control and process improvements
Work Experience
Experience directly managing diverse teams in an operations environment
Experience working in and managing in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience in group facilitation/presentation.
Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
Work Environment
Fast-paced production environment with cross-training requirement/expectation
Work on-site full-time
Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines, as required

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $55,800.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $88,500.00/year (for full-time employees).
